I've heard about that Duracraft 2.5G model before and the reviews are relatively good. The manual controls are great innovations that helps in the control system. This is quiet and well-designed humidifier. Although the plastic seems a bit cheap, the unit works very well. It is also easy to clean and no filters are needed. My only problem with this humifier is that the reservoir is a bit small. I'm not sure what the 2.5 gal refers to as this unit can't hold more than a gallo
